Life:

I took something of a vacation after Thanksgiving, so I was off of work the first couple days of the week.  As soon as I went back to work I was sick (again) with a cold this time.  Grrr.  But I worked anyway, AND I managed to get a little more reading in this week.  So I'm happy about that.

What I've read in the past week:

I finished listening to Beyond Courage : The Untold Story of Jewish Resistance During the Holocaust by Doreen Rappaport; Performed by Jeff Crawford and Emily Beresford.  Post to come.  I have to double check the ISBN and such, and the cover is at work.

Widow's Web (Elemental Assassin, Bk 7) by Jennifer Estep

Illusions (Wings, Bk 3) by Aprilynne Pike

Destined (Wings, Bk 4) by Aprilynne Pike

The Diva Takes the Cake (Domestic Diva Mystery, Bk 2) by Krista Davis

All Sales Fatal (Mall Cop Mystery, Bk 2) by Laura DiSilverio

What I've posted in the last week:

Widow's Web (Elemental Assassin, Bk 7) by Jennifer Estep

Illusions (Wings, Bk 3) by Aprilynne Pike

Destined (Wings, Bk 4) by Aprilynne Pike

The Diva Takes the Cake (Domestic Diva Mystery, Bk 2) by Krista Davis

All Sales Fatal (Mall Cop Mystery, Bk 2) by Laura DiSilverio

  • Hide and Sneak by Michael Arvaarluk Kusugak; Illustrated by Vladyana Krykorka
  • My Arctic 1, 2, 3 by Michael Arvaarluk Kusugak; Illustrated by Vladyana Krykorka
  • Don't Laugh at Giraffe by Rebecca Bender

Currently Reading:

The Casual Vacancy by J. K. Rowling; Read by Tom Hollander

Upcoming:

The next Cozy Cull book.  I'm currently debating between:
  1. Clobbered by Camembert (Cheese Shop Mystery, Bk 3) by Avery Aames
  2. Sketch Me If You Can (Portrait of Crime Mystery, Bk 1) by Sharon Pape
  3. Beef Stolen-Off (Clueless Cook Mystery, Bk 2) by Liz Lipperman
Preferences?

And surprise! I have more children's books to post.  I'm never going to catch up with those.

Plus I'd like to read one of more of my surplus of library books if at all possible.

  1. I can't wait to see what you think of 'A Casual Vacancy'. I read it when it came out earlier this year and am curious to see what you think about it.

    1. I'm just hoping I can finish the audio on time, since it's a highly requested book I won't be able to renew it.

  2. Fun mix of books. I'm waiting to read Destined now- maybe a summertime fun book so that I can have a break from the series!

    1. I can't believe you want to take a break after that ending in the 3rd book, but then I had a rather large break between the first two books and the third.

    1. I actually hadn't heard much about The Casual Vacancy at all. I'm mostly reading it because it's by J. K. Rowling.

  7. I've only heard bad reviews of the book. But that's probably because I didn't like it enough to finish it. Hope you like though. I heard it was going to be a BBC series.

    1. I like the way you say "the book." I have mixed feelings so far but I'm very early in, so I can't say.

  8. Only read book one of the Wings series. That's another series I've let slide.

    1. I've let so many slide it's ridiculous. I was prompted into finishing this when I saw another blogger's IMWAYR post.

    2. Jo, I had plans to catch up in 2013, but that's not going to happen. I still haven't caught up on review books and probably won't until February. Once I get from under this pile, I SWEAR I won't accept another book for review. Actually, I've already stopped, but you get my meaning.

    1. Lately, I've only been able to read one, maybe two books a week. This week was like a visit to how things used to be in regards to reading. ::sigh:: I miss it.

      Thanks for stopping by!
