I'm Back

I'm determined that it's for real this time.  I meant to jump back in beginning with July, and then August, but...

Well, part of the problem is summer months.  Something about them slows down my participation in online communities.  But summer is coming to a close, so hopefully that won't be a problem.  Another part is I'm finally employed and the schedule takes some adjustment.  It's been a little over a month, and I'm hoping to get into a more traditional schedule (work days) so hopefully that problem is or will (be) clear(ing) up.  A third part is because with the exception of two, maybe three books all my reading has been rereading during the last month at least.  But I'm planning on digging into my books (I have plenty of new-to-me) and cutting down on the re-reading for now.

So today is a beginning.  The renewal of my blogging, etc.

Wish me luck...

Twitter and Books

Just a quick FYI to anyone interested...
I finally joined Twitter! I'm PonderingBks there... I wanted to be BookstotheRescue, but couldn't get the 'e' on the end of Rescue to fit. ::pouts::

Anyway, I intend to use it exclusively for book and book blogging stuff.  As of now I'm just watching to see how things work.  Hopefully I'll get into things and really put Twitter to use as I become more familiar with it.

New Blog... An Introduction

I've never been good about keeping up with a blog. I'm going to give this a whirl, but I will not be able to guarantee regular updates. (I certainly intend to regularly update it, but, well...)

I read several genres including: romance (paranormal, contemporary, sometimes historical, sometimes category), mystery (most often cozies), fantasy (Mercedes Lackey, Steven Brust, Tamora Pierce, etc.)... I enjoy reading children's and YA books in addition to adult. I occasionally dip into Inspirational, Historical, Classic Literature... Really I've tried just about everything but erotica (which I will continue to avoid). I don't read much non-fiction, except as required of me, so I'm pretty limited in that area as well...

The plan is to discuss what I'm reading (I'm not very good at reviews, so more often than not this will just include basic info and a blurb), perhaps thoughts inspired by books I've read or thoughts about books inspired by something I saw or heard... As I go along I may work into some regular formatting or change the direction of the blog... for now, I'll stay flexible.
