It's Monday! What are you reading? (5/10/2010)

This meme is now hosted by Sheila @ One Person's Journey Through a World of Books.

I did it again. I missed last week's post altogether, and I'm shooting to finish this one at the last minute.  =/

For the week I missed...
  • I read Wraith by Phaedra Weldon
For this past week...
  • I discovered and particpated (belatedly the first time, on the proper day the second) a new meme hosted by Lori (@ Lori's Reading Corner).  It's called Saturday Spotlight and spotlights a new book related subject each week.  The first week was OURSELVES and the second our FAVORITE MALE MYSTERY WRITER.  Who knows what other topics may be spotlighted.
  • I participated in Jennifer @Crazy-for-Books.com's Book Blogger Hop for my first time.
  • I don't think I finished any adult or YA books, but I read several Children's books. I don't have them on hand to list, though.
I'm Currently Reading:
  • The Queen's Gambit by Diane A.S. Stuckart
  • LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien (Audio)
I still need to review:
  • Finished Off by Rebecca Kent (2nd in the Bellhaven House cozy mystery series)
  • Hey There (You with the Gun in Your Hand) by Robert J. Randisi (3rd in the Pack Rat mystery series)
  • The Last Apprentice: Attack of the Fiend by Joseph Delaney (Illustrations by Patrick Arrasmith) (4th in the Last Apprentice series, aka The Wardstone Chronicles)
  • Rake's Ransom by Barbara Metzger
  • Wraith by Phaedra Weldon (1st in the Zoë Martinique Investigation series)

  1. I listened to all the LOTR books on audio. Did you get the Recorded Books editions or one of the dramatizations? I did the unabridged Recorded Books edition and very much enjoyed them, but have always wondered about the other.

  2. It's the unabridged Recorded Books edition (performed by Rob Inglis).

With the one narrator, it's like listening to a storyteller. Like I imagine the hobbits listened to stories. I've never listened to a dramatization before, but I think it might lose something.

  4. I just recently had the Last Apprentice books recommended to me. So I can't wait to read your review on this one.
    Happy Reading!
