It's Monday! What are you reading? (3/15/2010)

This meme is now hosted by Sheila @ One Person's Journey Through a World of Books.
Reviews/Discussions/Challenges:
I read:
I'm currently reading:
  • The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien
and the non-fiction book:
  • After the Cure: The Untold Stories of Breast Cancer by Emily K. Abel and Saskia K. Subramanian
This coming week:

I was thinking I'd have more time to read this week; after all, it's Spring Break! However, instead I will be doing homework and a take-home exam, applying for any job I can get, cleaning, packing, and more packing (I'll be moving soon).

Being me, I still plan to fit reading in there somewhere. Hopefully, I'll get through more of the library books I have out (and overdue) as well as catch up some for the Lord of the Rings Readalong.

  1. I love Monica Ferris' Needlework series, but haven't read Blackwork yet. I'm going to check out your review now. Have a great week of reading!

  2. Joy - I love them too. When I first started reading them they prompted me to take a crochet class. =)

  6. I read The Hobbit a long time ago and, while I liked it, I don't think I appreciated it as much as I would if I read it now. I hope you're enjoying it!

  7. Tammy - Thanks for the good luck wishes and for following!

Sheila - I had to post something since, after answering the questions, I felt absolutely no interest in also reviewing the book.

dArLyN - I am liking it so far. But I'm reading it kinda slowly, too.

Amy - I was supposed to read it a couple years ago and kept putting it off. I guess I wasn't ready for it it then. =)

If you ever decide to re-read it, I'd be interested in "hearing" your thoughts...If you liked it more/less, if you got more out of it, etc.
