  1. I'm trying to find a nice short Christmas-y book before Tuesday book club. A mystery would be great. Or a romance. Any ideas?

    1. Ah, well. I'm not great with recommendations.

Most of the Christmas mysteries that come to mind are parts of series, and I don't know if that matters. And I tend to pick Christmas romances up on a whim. But for Christmas-y mysteries you might browse Christmas Mystery Book List or Christmas Mystery Book List Recommendations on Cozy-Mystery.com.

    1. When Grimm and Once Upon a Time came out I watched the first episode of both - and stuck with Grimm.

I'm hoping last night was the worst of it.

    1. It's definitely worth catching up on Grimm.

Abbott is a mother/daughter writing pair and I'd read the mother (Mary Jane Maffini)'s writing before, so I knew going in they should be enjoyable. (I think I forgot to mention that in my posts.)

      Thanks for visiting and following.

  6. How did I not know there was a Grimm book?! I am obsessed with that show. I was living in Portland when it premiered and now I watch it because 1) it's amazing and 2) I miss that city and love looking at it weekly. Haha

  8. The Victoria Abbot books have such warm & cozy covers that they make me want to curl up with a good mystery book immediately! I think I'll have to go and borrow some Christie from the library soon...

    1. Don't they? And I felt the same way about Christie - and Sayers, too.

Isn't it funny that there's a perfectly good dog bed on the second book and yet the dog is on the couch?
