It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? (11/11/2013) #IMWAYR

Life:

Since last week I've had work, dog training class, work, church, work, errands, time with family, car issues/repairs, and, oh yeah, work.

That isn't more work than usual, it was just my primary focus of the week.  I did manage to squeeze in a couple books.  Literally a couple.

Lately, I've been reading:

Heist Society (Heist Society, Bk 1) by Ally Carter [linked to my post]

The Giving Quilt (Elm Creek Quilts, Bk 20) by Jennifer Chiaverini [linked to my post]

Currently Reading:

I'm trying to squeeze in Cover Story (Ashton Corners Book Club Mystery, Bk 3) by Erika Chase for a paperbackswap game, but it has to be mailed very soon so I don't know if I'll make it.

Upcoming:

I started listening to The Beautiful Mystery (Chief Inspector Armand Gamache, Bk 8) by Louise Penny; Read by Ralph Cosham awhile back.  I was distracted, but I hope to start it back up again.

I need to hurry and read Dark Witch (Cousins O'Dwyer, Bk 1) by Nora Roberts before it's due back at the library.  There are many in queue for it.

I have other options I might take up on a whim as well.

What have you been reading?

    1. Nora Roberts is one of my comfortable authors. I can expect to enjoy her books. Some are more enjoyable than others, but all are pleasant.

  2. I liked the very first in the J Chiaverini quilt books but just haven't got around to reading any more. It is a series I would like to read more of. I have just bought the audio of Dark Witch. I know I bet there is a list at the library, I was on a long list for her last one. Hope you enjoy it.

    1. I found myself pleasantly surprised. Good to hear you enjoyed the first, since if I do read more, that will be first choice.

There are only 56 currently in line for Dark Witch and 12 copies. That's not as bad as, say, Takedown Twenty by Janet Evanovich.

  3. I am waiting for Dark Witch at my library too! Lol. I have heard such good things about Louise Penny. :)

    1. I made the purchase suggestion for Dark Witch, which means I was front of the line. But that means I have the pressure of reading it quickly.

I enjoy Louise Penny's books. She's very good for setting a mood and exploring the depths of characters and the flaws of humanity. All tucked in mysteries.
