Comments:
It's been awhile (I somehow missed writing this) so my memory on this one is fuzzy.
Lady Poppy Smith-Barnes has had a long-standing crush on this prince. In order to keep from being trapped in a loveless marriage when she knows the prince is the only one for her, she made up a fiancé - one Duke of Drummond. Too bad he turned out to be real. And to top it off, he finds her story rather convenient.
I found myself confused at the Impossible Bachelor thing. Perhaps because I didn't read the first book in the series? Other than that the story was generally okay. Not extraordinary, but not bad.
The third book in the series, Cloudy with a Chance of Marriage, has a bookshop owner for a heroine so I may try that one.
