What I don't need is another challenge. But this sounds fun, so here goes....
I will be participating in the Hogwarts Reading Challenge 2010. This is being hosted by Bunnitaz @ Worth Reading It?
The deets:
Read (and list - along w/ finish dates) at least 5 books that fit Hogwarts classes. Each book read wins 1 point toward the house cup. Any Harry Potter books read win 25 points toward the house cup.
The classes include: Transfiguration, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Charms, Potions, Astronomy, History of Magic, Herbology, Arithmancy, Ancient Runes, Divination, Care of Magical Creatures, and Muggle Studies. There are guidelines to what books fit what classes, of course.
There are prizes (available to those with blogs or who participate through Shelfari or Facebook), and mini-challenges.
This challenge runs from March 8, 2010 to December 13, 2010. If you're interested, check it out...

Good luck with the challenge. I want to reread all the HP's and even thought about joining this one, but one can only handle so many challenges.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I'm not sure I can handle it, but I signed up anyway. =)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the challenges you are participating in.
Hi Hogwarts Reading Challenge 2011 is now up and running until June 30th. This is the last Hogwarts Challenge for me as such it will be more involved and hopefully more fun. Click Mini Challenges for dates and info. I am not announcing any prizes other than the $15 gift card to a random winner for participating in the main challenge with the 5 book minimum met. However, there will be a drawing for a prize for all those who are able to accumulate 450 plus points and well as participate in all the mini challenges as well as read 7 books from one series (in honor of the 7 HP books). This final challenge is called the Triwizard Tournament. All prizes will be given out any time after the mini challenge or right the main challenge but if you win you will get your prize.
ReplyDelete*A series is when the main character is the same in all subsequent books. Ex: Eve Dallas in the Death in…, James Patterson Alex Cross books. When in doubt, ask me. Have fun and Happy Reading
