Comments:
Something about this book dragged for me. I think it started with the
time between when I finished book 5 and when I started this. But also,
the book had a different feel to me. Flavia, while still exhibiting the
same spunk, was distracted. Her distraction and sorrow and so forth,
seemed to detract from my own enjoyment somehow. It took me months,
with large spells of listening to other materials before I finished the
book. However, I did, and hopefully, while seemingly in new
circumstances, book 7 will pick up the feel I have so enjoyed and
appreciated. I hope Flavia's maturing is not TOO speedy.
