Why this book?:

I recently finished the first book in the series and was interested in reading the second.

Comments:

Meg and Rob are a couple.  Rob has passed up the position of under-sheriff to stay in his role of head of criminal investigations (I can't remember the actual title, but it was something like that).  Meg is now officially in her role as director of the Latouche County Public Library.  Rob's cousin finds him and brings bad news... a new housing development is in a landslide danger area (I can't remember the term for that either), and why didn't the report saying that stop the development?  And then a volcano causes trouble, and chaos ensues.

This time I didn't notice any distractingly awkward sentences.  That's a definite improvement.  And I'm still interested in the characters and their community.  So I've put in a request for the 3rd book, Beyond Confusion.  Since it's newer it will be a purchase rather than ILL, and I'll probably have to wait longer to read it.
