Comments:
First, I really enjoyed the illustrations for this. The colors are lovely.
Beyond that, this is an educational book about how we can help turtles. A fact is presented, a piece of advice is given, and by following the advice, "turtles can live and grow." To the side of each spread are extra facts and some more tidbits at the end. In addition to this, the inside cover pages have maps showing the habitats of various species of turtles.
I didn't realize this was part of a series until I was doing the author link. I'd be interested to see some of the other books: A Place for Bats, A Place for Birds, A Place for Butterflies, A Place for Fish, and A Place for Frogs.
Thanks for suggesting this childrens book. My grandson loves turtles and might like this book--what a lovely cover!
ReplyDeleteI hope he enjoys it if he gets the chance to try it. =)
