It's Monday! What are you reading? (1/4/2010)

This meme is run by J. Kaye (@ J. Kaye's Book Blog).

Books I completed this past week are:
Currently Reading:

The Crafty Teddy by John J. Lamb

Upcoming Reads:

Some possibilities (from the library) include...
  • Lament by Maggie Stiefvater
  • Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater
  • Tempted by P.C. Cast + Kristin Cast
  • Deal Breaker by Harlan Coben
  • Eragon by Christopher Paolini
  • Everybody Kills Somebody Sometime by Robert J. Randisi
  • Holiday Grind by Cleo Coyle
  • Dead Witch Walking by Kim Harrison
  • Sherlock Holmes and the Red Demon by John H. Watson, M.D. (or, rather, Larry/Lawrence Millett)
  • Bran Hambric: The Farfield Curse by Kaleb Nation
These are also possible library choices, but they're non-fiction. I'll likely only read one or two of these at all. As for this week, at most I might start one...Any recommendations?
  • Work Hard. Be Nice. by Jay Mathews
  • After the Cure: The Untold Stories of Breast Cancer Survivors by Emily K. Abel and Saskia K. Subramanian
  • They Bite: Endless Cravings of Supernatural Predators by Jonathan Maberry and David F. Kramer
  • The Deadly Dinner Party: & Other Medical Detective Stories by Jonathan A. Edlow, M.D.
  • The Survivors Club: The Secrets and Science that Could Save Your Life by Ben Sherwood

  5. E.H> - Thanks and no, no plan, other than to read like crazy. This is my last week of break before classes start again, and no holidays to distract me...

Laughing Stars aka The Stark Raving Bibliophile - I've seen so many good things about Shiver. I'm almost nervous to start it. If that makes sense?

Jonathan - It certainly looked interesting. =) I've already read the Intro and I'll definitely at least flip through it.

Ruth - It's even more difficult when you know you have SO many great choices. I've seen and read great things about several of my possible choices. ::sigh:: Decisions...

  7. J. Kaye - But then I'll have to wait to get the 2nd book, and I know I'm not going to like waiting. =P

  8. Jo, it didn't have that cliffhanger ending. I want to read her other series before I read this second book, so the waiting isn't so bad for me.
