Book Description (from dust jacket):

'Twas the night before Christmas in dinosaur land...

Deep inside a volcano crater, Tyrannoclaus and his helpers are busy wrapping up Christmas presents for dinosaur children when, suddenly, the volcanno erupts! How will they ever make it through and deliver presents on time?

With a little ingenuity and a lot of excitement, this twist on the classic The Night Before Christmas is sure to bring smiles to dinosaur fans everywhere.

I saw this at the library and knew I had to check it out. It was so cute. It was interesting as an adult reading this twist on The Night Before Christmas. The pictures are great, the story is fun...

In case you're interested, the author has written an paper about making Holiday Reading a Family Tradition, complete with recommendations. In it she has this book listed as a recommendation for ages 3-8. I personally still enjoyed reading it to my 2-year-old nephew and 11-month-old niece (though she just wanted to try and turn the pages and could care less about the story).

  1. What a fun looking book! Thats funny about your niece.... at least she likes the pictures!

  2. I totally agree. Love the book's cover and of course, the YouTube.

  3. Sheila - It is a fun book. My niece finds great pleasure in turning the pages of any book, pictures or no. I'm just happy she's interested in books at all.

    J. Kaye - The cover (and other illustrations) are great. I found the YouTube video on the author's website. I figured it gives a good idea of what the book is like - both picture and story-wise.
