Book Description (from dust jacket):

A stunning and suspenseful new landscape emerges in the thrilling Dark-Hunter world — a world where nothing will ever be the same again. . .

Fang Kattalakis isn't just a wolf. He is the brother of two of the most powerful members of the Omegrion: the ruling council that enforces the laws of the Were-Hunters. And when war erupts among the lycanthropes, sides must be chosen. Enemies are forced into shaky alliances. And when the woman Fang loves is accused of betraying her people, her only hope is that Fang believes in her. Yet in order to save her, Fang must break the law of his people and the faith of his brothers. That breech could very well spell the end of both their races and change their world forever.

The war is on and time is running out...

Comments:

I was tired of waiting for this to come through paperbackswap so I checked it out from the library.  (I'll eventually get a copy through PBS to keep).

I hadn't read the blurb or anything so I didn't know whose story this was going to be. I was pleased to discover it's Fang's. I was frustrated when I realized it starts back in 2003, it weaves through the other books in the series, it does not give any more clear indication of time jumps than the occasional "One week later," etc. I had to recall the time line using the scenes I recognized from other books. Other than the timeline factor, I liked the story. It was interesting seeing Fang from his own perspective and having some details filled in, sometimes answering questions I had wondered about, sometimes answering questions that hadn't occurred to me.

I suppose you could read this as a stand-alone (maybe that's a factor behind the way the book is set up) — but I wouldn't want to (of course, I'm the type that likes to read series in order).
