- Let the book fall to a random page.
- Share two (2) "teaser" sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
- Share the title of the book that you're getting your teaser from... That way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you've given! Please avoid spoilers!
I've got two books going today. A re-read and a new-to-me.
The re-read:
He managed to get to his feet, while his banging head spun and his stomach churned. His last hope was that he wouldn't puke on his own toes.
From p. 75 of Blue Smoke by Nora Roberts.
The new-to-me book —I picked this up after seeing it on Doug (@ SciFiGuy.ca)'s blog:
On first glimpse, I noted that Cerberus had two cute heads (I use the word "cute" relatively) and one really nasty, Snarly one. The two cute ones spent their time cleaning and licking the monster's black coat and nether regions while the nasty, Snarly one kept watch with its one large yellow eye—kinda like a big, unblinking lamp stuck in top of a lighthouse.
From p. 113 of Death's Daughter by Amber Benson.
hehehe The second one looks interesting
ReplyDeleteThat's the thing about opening to a random page. Sometime you get iffy teasers - and sometimes you get ones' like that. =)
ReplyDeleteI haven't gotten to that part yet, but it certainly sounds fun.
