It's Monday! What are you reading? (12/7)

Hosted by J. Kaye (@ http://j-kaye-book-blog.blogspot.com/).

This was NOT one of my better weeks. I've been scrambling...school, car issues (broken strut), getting my place decorated for Christmas, time with family, more school, ...

Books I completed this past week are:

Cat Sitter on a Hot Tin Roof by Blaize Clement
Espresso Shot by Cleo Coyle

Currently Reading:

Bear-ology: Fascinating Bear Facts, Tales & Trivia by Sylvia Dolson
Tippy Toe Murder by Leslie Meier

and I haven't started it yet, but I will get at least the Prologue read today...

Strange Angels by Lili St. Crow (Twitter Read-Along: #StrangeAngels)

Possible Upcoming Reads:

All of the choices are library books this week.

Lament by Maggie Stiefvater
The House on Tradd Street by Karen White
Work Hard. Be Nice. by Jay Mathews
No Penalty for Love by Shellie Foltz
Deal Breaker by Harlan Coben
Eragon by Christopher Paolini
Everybody Kills Somebody Sometime by Robert J. Randisi

  1. Nice hobby! Just want to know something about the book “Strange Angels”. I am interested in reading but I am not getting. Can you tell me where I can found this book? If I get the book I will be very happy to read. I read already the theme of book “Work Hard. Be Nice by Jay Mathews” It’s very nice.

Libraries have lot of books to read. The person can choose his type of books and can see how interesting when the start reading the books. By reading books the person will know how the things can happen in one owns life.

  2. If I complete two books, that's a highly successful week! I am a slow reader. ;)

  3. Hi, Jo -

Thanks for stopping by my blog and taking the time to comment!

Looks like you had a good reading week and lots of good books coming up. Eragon is one of my 15-year old son's all-time favorites.

  4. P.S. I wanted to apologize for not visiting your blog sooner. Funny story, actually. I have a good friend named Jo and whenever I saw a comment from "Jo", I assumed it was her. Today, I finally looked at the blog comments directly (instead of at the comment moderation page on the dashboard) and I realized the picture next to "Jo" was not who I thought it was!! Ha ha Now that I know who you are, I'll be back...

  5. Pooja - The copy I'm reading is from the local library. Depending on where you're from, there are some swap type sites that you might (eventually, you may have to wait) get it from. Paperbackswap.com (US, Puetro Rico, and APO only), Swaptree.com (I've never used this so I don't know much about it, but I think it's US only), Bookmooch.com (again, I've never used this, but it's worldwide), maybe BookCrossing.com (I've never used this either, but it's worldwide)... I think, you might be able to get books through sites like Goodreads.com but I know even less about that...

    J. Kaye - I think you spend a lot more time on the internet than me, plus I'm sure you have a healthier sleep schedule.

Sue - You've been here before...that's how I first found you. =) And, yeah, there are more "Jo"s out there (in the world of blogging and such) than I expected.

  6. Sue - Forgot to say it looked different when you were here before. In shades of blue, etc. I decided to play w/ some free backgrounds for the holidays.

  7. Jo, I spend way too much time on the internet. This will change soon...very soon.

  8. Hi, j-kaye. I'm Shellie Foltz and I saw my book, No Penalty for Love, on your possible reads list. I'd love for you to read it and post your thoughts! It's my first novel. Publication was sure an exciting process. Please visit my blog, too, at shelliefoltz.blogspot.com.

  9. J. Kaye - I think I must be trying to catch up w/ your internet times. I spent most of my week online. =)

Shellie - I'm Jo. J. Kaye is another blogger.

Anyway, I'm fairly sure I'll be reading it. I checked it out because it sounded interesting. Whether I blog about it... well, I won't know till the time comes.

Congrats on publishing your first book.

  10. Jo, really wished I had kept reading. I spent fifteen minutes searching for Folz's book on my blog and shelves...lol.

In 2010, I am going to step away from the internet more. Considering how I live on it now, stepping away a few minutes a day would be an improvement. But I am going to really step back. I need to get more things done and stop being such an internet bum. ;)
